to popular demand, I'm proud to allow you - Eddie Cochran fans and collectors
- to enjoy an almost complete batch of very rare photos, which first
appeared in the July 1963 issue of the long-defunct French mag, 'Disco-Revue'.
Jean-Claude Berthon was the editor at the time and he got these shots
from a British photographer named Philip Gotlop. I've tried to restore
these pictures as best as I could because they were printed in terribly
low quality black & white in the mag - but we do know that they
were taken in color. Sadly, Mr. Gotlop died many years ago and his widow
confirmed to Tony Barrett (of RockStar Records) that the original negatives
had been destroyed... And there were 32 of them.But color prints do exist, so the search continues. Stay tuned !! © Paul Vidal * France * March 2002 - February 2006 |
